Throughout history there has been an ongoing debate about which of these two forms of art, music and poetry, should rule over the other when they join forces in the field of opera. However, the main topic of this programme is not the rivalry between them, but rather, a selection of musical pieces by Gluck, Schubert, Liszt, Poulenc, Rachmaninov and Tosti, where the relationship is one of mutual reliance and deep cohesion. A relationship where both forms of art are equally relevant and the unit they form is unbreakable during the performance. And of course, love is placed at the centre of this relationship.
Alain Damas is frequently invited to play along with conductors, among which we find relevant figures in the world of music such as: Helmut Rilling, Lucas Pfaff, Christopher Hogwood, Jordi Savall, Andreas Spering, Max Valdés, Antoni Ros Marbá, Enrique García Asensio, Jesús López Cobos, Salvador Brotons, Pablo Mielgo, Miguel Ortega, Josep Prats, Ramón Torrelledó & Christoff Spering. He has performed in many different chambers and music theatres such as the Sladkovsky Hall de Praga, the Teatro Real de Madrid, the Teatro de la Zarzuela, the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, the Auditori Palau de la Música de Barcelona, the Auditorio Miguel Delibes de Valladolid, the Teresa Carreño de Caracas, and the Euskalduna de Bilbao.
Diego Rivera has played not only solo recitals, but also chamber music, and as a soloist accompanying several orchestras in Spain, South America and other European countries, including the San Sebastian International Festival Quincena Musical , the Contemporary Music Cycle organized by Valladolid University, the Madrid Fernán Gómez Theater , the Gran Teatro of Córdoba, Valladolid Cultural Centre Miguel Delibes, the Sladkowsky Hall of Prague and the Colonial Art Museum of Caracas

A lo largo de la historia mucho se ha debatido con respecto a cuál de estas dos artes, música y poesía, debe reinar sobre la otra cuando se reúnen en el campo común de la Lírica. Sin embargo, en este programa nuestro tema central no es la rivalidad entre las mismas. Al contrario, se han escogido obras donde la relación no es otra sino de dependencia y profunda cohesión. Donde la importancia de ambas es igual y la unidad que forman es irrompible a la hora de llevar a cabo la ejecución de estas composiciones. Y por supuesto, el tema del amor ocupa el centro de esta interacción mutuo entre poesía y música en este álbum.
Alain Damas es invitado regularmente a trabajar con diversos directores, entre los que destacan: Helmut Rilling, Lucas Pfaff, Christopher Hogwood, Jordi Savall, Andreas Spering, Max Valdés, Antoni Ros Marbá, Enrique García Asensio, Jesús López Cobos, Salvador Brotons, Pablo Mielgo, Miguel Ortega, Josep Prats , Ramón Torrelledó y Christoff Spering en prestigiosas salas y teatros destacando el Sladkovsky Hall de Praga, Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Auditori y Palau de la Música de Barcelona, Auditorio Miguel Delibes de Valladolid, Teresa Carreño de Caracas, Euskalduna de Bilbao.
